July 21st, at 10:30am I had a dr appointment to see my OB. I was seen and was contracting every few minutes and was dilated 3-4CM with my water bag bulging. Dr told me to go home and walk for a few hours and to come back in. I got home around 12:30, SO and I walked up and down our drive way multiple times (it's about a mile long). By 1pm I was in so much pain I just went back to to be seen again. By 2:40ish pm he seen me and I was 4-5CM! He sent me off to be admitted.
At 3pm they gave me an IV with a bag of fluids. By that time I was contracting every 2 minutes. I just tried my best to breathe through them. Most of the contractions were in my back and I felt like I was dying. Around 4:45pm my water broke and I was 6CM, it was definitely hurting a lot more so I got the epidural. At 5:40ish I was 6-7CM and baby was still a little high so they had me get on my hands and knees to see if she would move down. It worked. I had them check me at 6pm and her head was almost out! I flip back over, push two times and she's out at 6:04pm!
They put her on my chest and started to dry her off. Only she wasn't crying or taking a breath. She was purple. So she was taken to the nursery for some O2. After awhile she was taken off of it and was doing well. They drew some blood and her blood sugar was low and wouldn't rise so they gave her an IV. It's finally staying where they want it and she's in the room with mommy and daddy now doin well.
Grace was was born at 35.5 weeks at 6:04pm- 5lbs 7oz 17" long. Big brother is in love! She was almost as big as DS, at birth he was 5lbs 8oz and 19" long.
