Mini Review!
I heart caffeine.
Coffee, tea, energy drinks - besides those 5-Hour Energy Shots, I thoroughly enjoy my caffeinated drinks when I need a boost. I'm that woman that orders a double espresso after dinner, because there's a day's worth of bottles, two baths, and probably a load or two of laundry to be folded and put away after we get home from the restaurant - and I've been up since 7. I also happen to be one of those people that actually (gasp!) like RedBull. They're not good for you by any means, and I would never let my kids drink them as older teens because quite frankly, they're chock full of awful shit.
However. I am a huge hypocrite and I need a pick me up from time to time that coffee just cannot deliver (and despite so-called proof stating that a RedBull is not as potent as a simple cup of coffee, I personally digress and say, "Bullshit"). Placebo effect or not, I'm buying into it. So once in a while, I have a RedBull. Also, my space bar seems to be on the fritz.
I like the original (and don't mind the sugarfree), love the blueberry, the cranberry. Not a huge fan of the lime, and the tropical flavor made me gag. However, I noticed the Orange Edition Red Bull and had to give it a try. Visions of SunKist soda danced in my head as I made my way to check out. And caffeine to boot? Sold.
It's a lot less fizzy than it's blueberry/cranberry counterparts, and that's ... Odd.
The verdict? Well ... Have you ever tasted Orange Jell-O before you chilled it, in its liquid form?
No? Well, it pretty much tastes like that. Not impressed. Not awful ... But nothing I would buy again.
Are you one of those people that love or hate Red Bull? What's your favorite form of caffeine? Also, fun fact - I always do this weird, annoying thing with my cans after they're empty:
Which probably isn't that great for recycling purposes
