So my SO has the iPhone 6+ in black. Okay cool. He's a techie, loves the newest gadgets, his degree is in tech...you know the type. So his phone has been having touch screen issues...come to find out it's not the digitizer or cables like we thought but the actual mother board or logic board or WTFever it's called (I, obviously, am NOT a techie lol). It's a fatal hardware flaw that cannot be fixed. The only solution is to replace the entire phone and hope the new one doesn't do it too. So he contacted Apple, they sent him a replacement express shipping, everything was good. Got set to swap the phones...oh his phone miraculously starts working fine. So since a new iPhone 7 is likely going to drop in September (going by the established pattern of releases to date...) he figured why pay almost $400 now in January to turn right around and get ANOTHER new phone in September when they drop a 7. Because he will. He always does. He doesn't bother with the "S" and "C" stuff but let them release a new whole number and he's gotta have it. So he contacted Apple back, and asked if he could return the replacement and have a refund. They approved it, within a week he had a ful refund. Que the irony...the day he got his refund his phone started acting up again and is now worse than ever. He has to fidget with this thing a million different ways to even try to open the lock screen or answer a phone call, and forget returning a text or using the phone in general. Right now he has no phone, he has a paperweight! I'm not cool with this. In an emergency he needs to be able to get ahold of me and vice versa. We have two kids. We have an apartment together. We drive separate cars and work at separate jobs. There is a SHIT TON of stuff that could arise that we would need to contact one another for. So he is on the phone with Apple now, getting another replacement approved. But even though his return was accepted and processed...the phone itself was never processed correctly back into their inventory so it looks like HIS phone was already returned. It's a mess, and he's been dealing with it all day. I'm frustrated, because he has MY phone to talk to these guys because he obvi can't use his...and just the fact that in general we are even dealing with this. I mean shit yes it's a very first world problem...oh my ridiculously sized mobile phone won't do the right thing so I'm being inconvenienced but dammit man. We've both had shittastic weeks this week at work and I'm 4 days from my period...and I just want to gobble chocolate and fuck but that hasn't happened yet. FRUSTRATED!!!
