this might be a little long - please bear with me
Ok so I am 16w6d with number three and have my drivers test on Monday.
I have failed 12 times (no judgement please - its embarrassing enough)
long story short - I am a very competitive type personality and refuse to fail at anything. I am an accountant and was a straight A student all through school. This is the ONLY think I have EVER failed at and it's making me fail again and again. First two times I did my drivers test I made stupid mistakes and sent myself into a deep ass funk and have since then given myself a complex about it. For the last six attempts I get stressed beforehand and have shaking; anxiety; heavy breathing etc... and end up making a dumb ass move cause I am so stressed. All my driving instructors tell me I am my own worst enemy and I drive perfectly when NOT in a testing situation. I am not normally a stressed / anxious type of person - more of a confident; go get-em attitude.
My father tells me to just drive without a license but I have two (almost three) kids to get around and I am terrified of having an accident with them when I am not licensed. Would feel like it was my fault even if it wasn't.
It was never a big problem as I go with a lift club to work and DH drops and collects the kids; but he is now working in the city which is an hour away and the commute is killing him and adding unnecessary hours to the children's days at daycare (they need to be there from 6.30am to 18.00pm and it's just not right). So I am really wanting to make a go of it.
I am testing again on Monday and already the stress is eating away at my stomach.
my driving instructor suggested I try rescue remedy to calm down before the test. Anyone know if I can use this while pregnant/ have used this? I would call my Dr's office but considering the time of year they are all away and I don't feel right asking emergency contact for this query.
Please help
Edited to add: In SA we have Natura Rescue Remedy so not sure if the branding is the same or makes a difference?
Also I have a slight heart condition so please no suggestions of drugs that would slow my heartbeat down too drastically lol.
