What do you think?

So, we're going on a vacation next week, all in all we'll be gone like 10 days. I asked a friend (almost kind of family in a weird way), who's a vet tech, if she would take car of DS's lizard while we're gone.  She said sure, no problem!  So, on Monday I text her to get the drop off planned, since I work every day this week till we leave.  She said that her family just got here, I think they're staying a couple weeks or at least till Christmas, and she wasn't sure when she'd be home but she'd let me know.  Yesterday morning I text her again and said I could bring him by Thursday evening or some time Friday, but that I needed to know to make sure I have time for all the last minute things I still need to do.  She never text back.  I called her phone when I got off work and left a VM.  Still, nothing.  At 5:30 I figured it was time to make the decision of asking someone else or not.  I decided to ask SIL because I needed to know before I went to bed what I was doing because ideally I would bring him to work with me and when I get off at noon I would drop him off since SIL lives way closer to my office than our home.  That's what I ended up doing, I'm at work now.  So, the girls texts me at 2 am!  Saying sorry she's just getting back to me but she SHOULD be home around 5 pm Friday night.  I was actually awake (asshole AF always seems to start between 1am and 3am) so I text her back telling her I had already asked SIL because I needed to know what the plan was but either way is fine with me, I know your busy with family right now.  She never text back.   You all would have done the same right?  I mean, really the only reason I feel bad is because this girl has a daughter with SIL's partner's son and there is always drama off and on and I really like this girl and hate to give SIL and them any more ammunition against her than what's already there.  But, I mean....come on.
