Yes, that is the Moby. It can be a bit of a pain of you're doing something where you'll be taking the baby out of the wrap and then re-wrapping often. But they are very snuggling! After you get used to it, wrapping does get easier and faster though. The one other down side I found is that wrapping can get kind of warm too, so take that into consideration. That's why I liked the ring sling more than the Moby though. It keeps the baby nice and snuggled close but since it's only one layer of fabric it isn't quite as hot. There's a few brands of the ring slings, Maya Slings are popular, but you can also find some really nice ones on Etsy (just make sure the seller follows the regulations from BCIA).
I've looked at the videos for the ring sling and have noticed the one layer of fabric. Does that mean that the material is 'tougher' so as to provide adequate support?
Do you know about how long you would like to baby wear? I mean, it's hard to know now before you and your baby actually start, but if you're wanting a carrier that is going to last beyond 15lbs or so (for both of my boys that was 4 months), ring slings, soft structured carriers (ergos, Tulas, etc.), or woven wraps would be what I would really look into. Those you can all use from newborn up to toddler age. The SSCs may require an infant insert though.
