The past week was a bit of a rough one for us - a virus got both of the kids and eventually got to me as well. The kids handled it well (poor little DS2 needed a nebulizer for bronchiolitis), but it hit me particularly hard.

I hadn't gotten significantly sick in years, but luckily DH is amazing and took over with the kiddos and the house. Many, many man points were showered upon him. He was absolutely wonderful, and now I'm back on my feet. Apologies to the lack of reviewism! I could barely eat, let alone taste anything - so now I'm eager to nibble on something more substantial than Cream Of Shit.
Cue Eggo Thick & Fluffy Blueberry Cobbler Waffles!

I don't eat Eggos much now, but did as a kid. I loved them.
At 160 calories and 7 grams of fat per waffle, these are larger and thicker than their original cousins. They're sturdy, and remind me of an Eggo attempt at a Belgian Waffle.
I love Belgian Waffles.

I'm odd, in the sense that I don't like syrup on my waffles. Butter? Maybe a little. Whipped cream? If the occasion calls. But for the most part, I eat my Eggos toasted and as is.
These are definitely more substantial than the original blueberry circles that Eggo offers. They crisp up nicely on the outside, and are both fluffy and yet pleasantly dense inside - a far cry from what I grew up with. If Original Blueberry Waffles were a '92 Honda Civic, these are the 2016 model with leather interior and GPS. Not a Rolls Royce, but really good for an Eggo. I would prefer more blueberry flavor, but I can always toss some fresh berries on top to compensate, if I wasn't so lazy.

Would I label these as "Blueberry Cobbler" in any way, shape or form? No.
But as frozen blueberry waffles go, these are very good. Thumbs up!
My tastebuds are pleased, and the little man on the Cream Of Wheat box looks lonely. Which is the way it should be.
Stay well, ladies!
