My male OB was fine but in the end, I learned how little he cared about me and my well being. After I had my twins, I had health issues begin and so he went in for exploratory laproscopic surgery. He said while he was in there, if there was anything he could do, he would. When I came out of surgery, he told me so non-nonchalantly that there was nothing he could do. My only option was a total hysterectomy. When I asked about having more kids, he said "Sure, get pregnant, we'll do a c-section and then I'll do the Hysterectomy right then." He was saying this to a woman who just had twins via c-section 3 weeks prior on top of her 20mos. old child. The way he made it seem so simple bugged me so much. I left him and never went back. Found a WONDERFUL female OB I love and trust. She said that I CAN have another child and that it doesn't have to be so cut & paste. In fact, I'll likely need help and I don't think that male OB would have been fun TTC with.I'm sorry he treated you like that. I hope you won't need much help if/when you try for another.
As for TTC, when we are ready, I will take clomid. I trust my OB now will take every step I need to get my baby. The hysterectomy side of things, she's amazing. She said she won't do it for at least 5 years. Even then, she said she'd rather wait 10 yrs because of my age.
I was 22 when that male OB told me that. At 22 he wanted me to go through that. She on the other hand wouldn't even consider it. She said it would be no fun at my age to go through menopause. I just trust her SO much more.
